[OS X TeX] Multiple synctex.gz files

Herb,

All the files are in the same directory: x.aux, x.log, x.nav, x.toc, x.out, x.snm, x.tex, x.pdf. The synctex.gz files appear one at a time and accumulate. I'm not sure whether it's random. I know that the extra files appeared again after I deleted several.

I ran

ls -alf *.gz

And here is the result.

Thanks for your help.

Raul

The files names are exactly as they appear on the list of aux files. [I mention this to avoid people thinking that I added the parenthetical identifier "(from ...)" for the purpose of this discussion.] Although I show only two "extra" files here, I've had as many as six. They appear to be inoffensive: deleting them has no effect on typesetting or editing with TS 3.18.
