[OS X TeX] synching in TS 3.18

Zbigniew and others,

As Herb said, when synching fails, check to make sure the folder
with your main source has a file with the same name as the source
and extension syntex.gz.

If it does, throw this file away and typeset again. It should reappear.

If not, there are two possibilities:

a) Your call to the tex engines lacks the crucial flag --synctex=1. Note that
if you call pdflatex in a custom engine, that call also needs the flag

OR

b) Your TeX is so old that it doesn't have synctex. This means your TeX
distribution is very, very, very old. Upgrade at http://tug.org/mactex.
