Why italicize it?
It is a logo, and should be used just like a graphic, always in the same font and style.
By all means change the size to match your chosen font height, but no more.
To do it differently is making extra work for yourself, with no guarantee of getting a pleasing or acceptable result.

There should be no change, neither for italics nor bold, IMHO.
