[OS X TeX] Announce: MacTeX-2014 is available for download

Howdy,

MacTeX-2014 is now available through many CTAN repositories. The easiest way to get it is to go to <http://www.tug.org/mactex/>, which has a mirror link that should download from a repository reasonable close to your location.

Information about changes to TeX Live for 2014 can be found at <http://www.tug.org/texlive/doc/texlive-en/texlive-en.html#news>

WARNING: It may take up to a week for most of the smaller repositories to replace MacTeX-2013 with MacTeX-2014. Until they do you MIGHT download MacTeX-2013 by mistake. This will be apparent when running the installer because the very first information displayed by the installer will will be titled MacTeX-2013. Exit the installer and wait a week.

You can determine if a particular repository has the 2014 release by going directly to that site. You can find the MacTeX associated packages at systems/mac/mactex. The mirror link points to MacTeX.pkg, but on the sites this link should point to mactex20140525.pkg.

If you get error messages when installing, check the md5 sum at <http://www.tug.org/mactex/downloading.html>. If your sum does not agree with the listed sum, download again.

There are 2014 versions of MacTeX-2014, BasicTeX-2014, MacTeX-Additions-2014.
