A few years ago, I solved the my personal ergonomic issues by building a very small rolling desk just 23.5in high that I can place in front of my recliner, supporting monitors at the right height for me and with the mouse at a non-destructive height relative to the recliner arm. I used part of a sheet of IKEA birch butcherblock to build the entire project,  width 34in, depth 20in. I don't expect my knees to fit under it, but the setup is very comfortable and has worked well for me for the last ten years. Normally, I use the wireless keyboard on my lap.
