I had, an admittedly very brief, look at home page of this. All the features (and more) are in Keynote. The author writes that he doesn’t want to use Keynote because he writes in LaTeX and Beamer. So do I. I then just paste the pdf of each slide into a slide in Keynote. If I need certain elements to appear/reveal then I just cut and paste these elements one-by-one and use the richer Keynote build commands. The only thing I sometimes write in Keynote is the Title page: big fonts. Of course keynote also handles presenter notes, another feature advertised in this Présentation app.

Finally the aurhor mentions that he needs VCS, Version Control System I guess, but Keynote doesn’t “play well with VCS”, the implication being that LaTeX (TeXShop?) does. I don’t use VCS software so cannot comment on this but with the above workflow he would have this and Keynote itself has a sort of versioning under the current OS X.

So I don’t think I would use this. However, if you don’t have Keynote then you may want to try it.

Peter
