[OS X TeX] Texmaker vs. TexShop

Julia,

There is no OpenGL code in TeXShop. But as others have pointed out,
TeXShop calls Apple’s underlying API, as all native applications do.
Apple does increasingly use OpenGL for low level graphic operations.

Your TeXShop complaint is equally valid for the Finder, System Preferences,
and so forth.

To follow your logic to the bitter end, it would make sense for you to erase
OS X and just install Linux or Windows.
