[OS X TeX] eps -> pdf conversion

Folks:

Just wanted to thank Guillermo and Michael.  That the OS did the conversion
correctly was the key, and I hadn't realized that.  It probably would have
taken me better than a week to fix these one by one, so I am very grateful.
