[OS X TeX] Still no short table of contents

Good morning. I have now tried lots of things, but I just can't do it. I 
need a shorttoc before the proper table of contents. I have tried with

\usepackage{shorttoc}

in the preamble, and in the document

\shorttoc{Zusammenfassung}{chapter}

but it only produces the normal table of contents twice, with different 
titles (one is called Zusammenfassung and the other, Inhaltsvezeichnis), 
both times including sections and subsections.

How do I create a short table of contents going no deeper than chapters 
before the normal table of contents?
