[OS X TeX] AlphaX and Sierra

I upgraded to Sierra on Tuesday, and I find that AlphaX crashes whenever it
opens a file. Do any AlphaX users have ideas about what is going on?  On
the good side, both TeXShop and Aquamacs run under Sierra, so I will be
able to do what I want to do. But I've used AlphaX and its predecessors for
more than 20 years, and it would be a shame to reach the end of the road.
