[OS X TeX] MacTeX-2018/TeX Live 2018 Released

Howdy,

If you go to <http://www.tug.org/mactex/> you will discover that MacTeX-2018 has just been released. It uses the full TeX Live 2018 and supports macOS 10.10 (Yosemite) and later. As before, there is also a smaller download for those with bandwidth or space constraints.

But there is a WARNING: It will take several days, up to a week, for MacTeX-2018 to reach the repositories so DON'T jump the gun and try to download it right away. Hopefully you'll get an error message if the repository hasn't been updated but you might also be doing a large download only to discover that you've downloaded MacTeX-2017. There is lots of useful information at the site above and it may very well answer questions that you have before attempting the download.
