Howdy,

Please let me know how you `fixed' the problem. It is clear the document is not in UTF-8 Unicode encoding and I believe it's in MacOSRoman. Assuming that's true you need to add the line

% !TEX encoding = MacOSRoman

to the top of the file and

\usepackage[applemac]{inputenc} 

in your preamble.

I was not able to typeset your document because I don't have packages your use.
