The syntax coloring section under help gives the names of some of the preference items, but not for \index.It has it for commands in general, but I’d rather not change all of the command colors. Any way to just change \index command’s color (along with the indexed text)?

Howdy,

Please download TeXShopSyntaxColors.zip from my download site, <https://herbs.github.io>. it gives you information about adjusting the colors of all the syntax coloring, including the \index commands. It even gives a small script and example that makes the \index commands a light gray which pushes them into the background.

Good Luck,
