I’m trying to create a picture (to illustrate least squares approximation) in a tex document, using pstricks.
I am unclear from pp 325-328 of the LaTeX Graphics Companion how and where the data file should be saved.
(My data is simply a set of points).
I tried to mimic the example in http://texdoc.net/texmf-dist/doc/generic/pst-plot/pst-plot-doc.pdf
which seemed to indicate that it could be saved withing the tex document, but I get an error message I don’t understand (indicating that something is inaccessible).
Can anyone help me make this work without undue pain? My minimal example is appended below.
