[OS X TeX] .sty files listed as Kind STY and Asian characters

Howdy,
The Kind column shows what Murray's shows for a .sty file of mine. Running mdls on that file gives
kMDItemContentType = "org.tug.sty"
and
kMDItemKind = "sty"
so I'm a bit mystified why Kind is that way. I believe the content type of "org.tug.sty" is set by TeXShop.
