[OS X TeX] MacTerminal + MacTeX + screen reader causes frequent crashes?

I noticed the same (when using Flashmode) on a new Mac Pro. There was a noticeable difference and I switched back to TL 2020.

Just a small observation: I noticed that 2020 compiles faster than 2021 (always using TeXShop frontend and PDFLaTeX engine): On my book project TeXLive 2021 stops to scratch its head at pages 455-456 and then proceeds. 2020 only stops for a hardly discernible fraction of a second.

Do others have such an observation? (I am using Mac Pro (Late 2013), 6 core).
