[OS X TeX] reload file command

Hi everyone,

Do you know of any command that allows reloading a .tex file? To explain: I used dropbox to sync across computers. Frequently upon returning to a computer I start editing a file having forgotten that it was last edited on another computer. Either when I compile, or when texshop autosaves, I get the message that I must either revert to earlier version, or save new version (under new name or not). I usually revert and redo the work, as I find dealing with new version then opening old one to copy and paste more trouble than it’s worth. That said, I do see two potential improvements:

1. Provide a command that allows refreshing (reloading) the file. Of course I need to remember to use it, but I do remember about half of the time; what I do then is to make an insignificant change (say, an extra space) and compile, after which I select “revert.” It’s my DIY reload.

2. Allow a cancel option in the message, so that, after canceling, I can copy the newly edited text in the buffer, then reload the file, then paste new edits in the previous version.

I hope this makes sense. Has anybody else faced this issue, and if so perhaps there are better options than what I am doing?
