[OS X TeX] install spell checking dictionary for Bulgarian

Hi Roussanka,

incidentally, I think Aquamacs can tap into the system spell checker. Anyway, it seems you have some aspell in your system. If it was properly installed, you should have about 739 files under /usr/local/lib/aspell-0.60. If bg.* is Bulgarian, I have:

aspell-0.60> ls -1 bg*
bg.dat
bg.multi
bg.rws
bg_affix.dat
bg_phonet.dat

(I installed aspell with HomeBrew for use with the other Emacs.app.)

But a more general question is: if you add Bulgarian to your “Language & Region” tab under System Preferences is it not picked up by both TexShop and Aquamacs?

Hope this helps,
—Ettore

You can pick up dictionaries for aspell 0.60 (which is used by cocoAspell) at <https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/0index.html <https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/0index.html>>. Assuming you are using version 2.5 (that's the last version created quite a few years ago) follow the directions in

One of these days it will no longer work and every time there is a major macOS update I'm apprehensive. If there is someone out there with Apple programming experience who is interested in Spell Checkers and who might be interested in the project for ``fun'' there is a GIT project at <https://github.com/leuski/cocoAspell <https://github.com/leuski/cocoAspell>>.
