[OS X TeX] Problems with TexShop macros

I am on TexShop 4.70 on Monterrey 12.3.1 and when I select “Insert Begin/End” macro, it beeps and nothing happens.

When I select “Close Begin/End” I get an AppleScript error: A “to” cannot go after this “to”

Any guidance would be welcome.
