[OS X TeX] TeXShop and M1

Hi Richard (all),

I am new to M1 (Air) but not to TeXShop.

In the past several months, on my Intel Macs,  I have been starting TeXShop simultaneously pressing Shift, so that the App opens but no files open.

I noticed that this does not work on my M1.    Shift + TeXShop starts the App along with the most recent source and PDF I was working on.

How can I duplicate on my M1 the above described behaviour that I got used to with my Intel Macs?
