[OS X TeX] benchmark a pdflatexmk run on a Mac Studio?

Are you doing a complete clean of all aux files before each run? You shouldn't need to do that unless you run into an error. Of course, if latexmk doesn't detect a change in sources or auxiliary files it just says it has nothing to do.
