[OS X TeX] Gentium with MacTeX 2025

Since updating to MacTeX 2025, I can’t get the gentium fonts to work with pdflatex.

Previously, I had

\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{gentium}

in my preamble to use the gentium fonts.

Since installing macTeX 2025, this now results in 

LaTeX Error: File ‘gentium.sty’ not found.

TeX Live Utility shows both gentium-otf and gentium-sil as installed and up to date.

In fact, if I use TeX Live Utility to switch to TeX-Live 2024, this error disappears.

Ideas?  My knowledge of how fonts work in TeX is .. rudimentary, at best.  Was there something I am supposed to do that installing MacTeX 2025 needed?
