[OS X TeX] XeLaTeX and fontspec issue

Jeff,

I just tried your sample program myself on Sequoia and had no problems.
Here are two suggestions, although readers of this mailing group are usually
much better than I am at finding errors.

1) When you reinstalled MacTeX, you got TeX Live as it was last March.
You might want to update to the latest stuff using TeX Live Utility.

2) (Probably a better hint) Often problems occur because users added
files to ~/Library/texmf. This location is searched first, so old files can override
more recent versions in TeX Live and MacTeX. The easy way to
check is to look at the console output and search for entries that
do not start with

	/usr/local/texlive/2025/...

but instead start with

	~/Library/texmf/.......

Of course special files from your publisher are fine there, but files
that duplicate files already in TeX Live are very suspicious.
