I just finished a preliminary version of the MacTeX web pages, which other team
members will edit. These pages go live when TeX Live and MacTeX are
released in early March.
One of these pages discusses the Latex tagging project. I enclose the html
for that page. If you drop this file on Safari, you can read the entire
page and important links in it,
The LaTeX tagging project is being done by the small team in charge of LaTeX.
That team is led by Frank Mittelbach, who has led it for 35 years. Note that their
work covers LaTeX on Macs, Windows, Linux, etc., so almost everyone who uses
LaTeX.
I particularly urge you to watch the talk. The above page has a link.bIt is slightly tricky
to follow the web page's instructions and get to the talk, since the link leads to a video of all talks
from a given day. But watching the talk is extremely illuminating.
