I'll withdraw the offer then (although I do think that many people would like an online manual). But if the Help Panel is not being updated, it should point to the manual instead.</div>

<div> tex4ht can produce pretty good HTML from TeX source so it might be possible to maintain a single TeX document but produce an online version from it. This is what I do for a thesis class that I maintain. The web page isn't super pretty because I put zero effort into it, but it is definitely functional and built from the TeX source directly. See https://amunn.github.io/msu-thesis/msu-thesis.html</div>

<div>Would you be interested in moving the TeXShop documentation to an online format? Pages would be in simple markdown, so maintainance would be quite easy going forward. I'd be willing to set things up and move the existing manual to that format.</div>

No. The three documents that I'll keep up to date with each TeXShop version are<br/>
About This Release, Changes, and the Manual.<br/>
<br/>
The TeXShop Help Panel hasn't been updated in years. The "Comment Lines and Hidden Preferences" document is still relevant because its list of Comment Lines is up to date. But only a few Hidden Preferences were documented there and then I got tired. The manual is the definitive place for Hidden Preferences.<br/>
