<html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="overflow-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;">For lo these many years now, I have used Alpha as my TeX editor, and have Alpha send files to TeXShop for typesetting and viewing.<div><br></div><div>The most recent release of TeXShop breaks this arrangement. When Alpha sends the file to TeXShop for typesetting, TeXShop comes to the front, but seemingly nothing happens after that. Except … if I drop the file on TeXShop together it open in TeXShop to typeset it, then go back to Alpha and send it for typesetting again, nothing appears to happen, but then … some time (30-60 seconds?) later, the preview window in TeXShop comes to the front, but nothing else happens (it does not typeset), and Alpha exhibits a lengthy beachball that does eventually resolve.</div><div><br></div><div>Anyhow, TeXShop 5.52 has broken a long and happy relationship.
