[OS X Emacs] LaTeX cannot find its class/style files (obvious fixes attended to)

And, yes: GNU Emacs 23.0.60 seems to build (or run) since some a  
month or two only when, I think, libfreetype is nore up-to-date than  
that what Apple provides.
