From my customisation section, a bit edited to be readable (removing
newlines and reducing multiple spaces to one will make it fit):
'(TeX-command-list (quote (
("XeTeX" "%`xetex%(mode)%' %t" TeX-run-TeX nil (plain-tex-mode
context-mode texinfo-mode ams-tex-mode) :help "Run XeLaTeX with
xdvipdfmx driver")
("XeTeXx" "%`xetex -output-driver=xdv2pdf%(mode)%' %t" TeX-run-
TeX nil (plain-tex-mode context-mode texinfo-mode ams-tex-mode) :help
"Run XeTeX with xdv2pdf driver")

("Makeinfo" "makeinfo %t" TeX-run-compile nil (texinfo-

("Makeinfo HTML" "makeinfo --html %t" TeX-run-compile nil

("AmSTeX" "%(PDF)amstex %`%S%(PDFout)%(mode)%' %t" TeX-run-TeX

index file")

("Other" "" TeX-run-command t t :help "Run an arbitrary
command"))))
And, yes: GNU Emacs 23.0.60 seems to build (or run) since some a
month or two only when, I think, libfreetype is nore up-to-date than
that what Apple provides.
