[OS X Emacs] email with emacs?

It works on carbon emacs beautifully.

  GNU Emacs 22.1.50.1 (i386-apple-darwin8.11.1, Carbon Version 1.6.0)
   of 2008-01-17 on seijiz.local

I'm pretty sure I was using it on Aquamacs until I got tired of it
being so different from the emacs I used on FreeBSD.  What doesn't
work?
