[OS X Emacs] Accursed " *Minibuf-1*"

I use iswitchb. Right now, every time I kill a buffer, then switch,  
the first buffer listed is " *Minibuf-1*" (not the leading space).

This has happened to me a few times before. I don't know why, and I  
don't know how to fix it. Normal switch-to-buffer is not affected. The  
only thing I've found to fix it is to quit Emacs and restart it.

Lame. What the hell is going on here, and how do I stop it?
