[OS X Emacs] faster aquamacs ?

I've just tried all the possible cocoa-emacs variations today and found that Aquamacs was by far the slowest to launch.

It does launch fast when it starts without customizations, so what should I do to have it always launch without them ? And what are those customizations ? How do I see if I need them or not ?
