[OS X Emacs] using Mac system spelling autocorrection?

I'm on OSX Lion, and Mac's spelling autocorrection is really good.  By
contrast, my Emacs abbrevs file is woefully lacking, and half the words I
type come out slightly garbled and stay uncorrected—the kind of garblings
that get autocorrected by OSX apps.

Is there any way to get Aquamacs to recognize and apply the built-in system
spelling autocorrections that come with OSX?
