[OS X Emacs] default font changed in Aquamacs 2.5

It was not an intentional change on my part, hence the lack of documentation.
Apple changed the default monospaced font at some point from Monaco to Menlo, and it is possible that this is now inherited.  More research would be needed to figure out where in the code this is happening, but I do get Menlo as default font as well. (I agree with the behavior though.)

By the way, our code (lisp/faces.el) still specifies Monaco, although this seems to be ignored.

That would be bad, and I can't reproduce it.
If you have a recipe (starting with "Start Aquamacs without customizations"), then we could do something about it.
I would be more inclined to investigate if this was in Aquamacs 3.x, by the way.
