[OS X Emacs] Flyspell install dictionary

Most of the time, “flyspell” doesn’t work, even though it’s turned on. Sometimes it does work, and flags misspellings as I type while offering alternatives, but most of the time I get warnings "Flyspell-babel warning: no dictionary installed for english”. How can I fix this? It’s probably not at all Aquamacs-specific, but that’s where it hits me….
