[OS X Emacs] Aquamacs 3.5 issue - "Help" is different

When I start Aquamacs 3.5 and then click "Help" in the menu bar, I get
nothing f 5 seconds or so, the a spinning wheel of death for 5 seconds or
so, and nothing else. Then if I click "Help" a second time, I see the usual
pull-down menu.

This didn't happen with Aquamacs 3.4. This is on Mojave 10.14.6.
