[Mac OS X TeX] making diagrams

As usual trying to make diagrams incorporating TeX output, I tried "Create"
(see http://www.stone.com/Create/Create.html), with a reasonable degree of
success.

You can incorporate TeX material either exported from Textures in Illustrator
format (then converted to PDF) or exported from TeXShop (using the Preview
feature). Unlike Freehand, Create doesn't actually parse the PDF, but links
to it. However, Freehand can't handle PDFs containing TeX fonts: it crashes.

Since you can't actually edit the PDF, each label has to be typeset separately
(e.g. on a separate page). Exporting each page is a bit cumbersome, but
that's because MacOS X is so slow. With any luck that will be fixed with
version 10.1.

The only problem is that I don't know how to crop the labels, which (even when
I set the page dimensions to zero) come out with quite a bit of white space
around them. However, I was able to make a toy diagram, export it as PDf and
include it in a TeX document, which printed correctly.
