[Mac OS X TeX] opening ps, eps & dvi files from TeXShop

Hi,
I read from the web site that TeXShop should be able to open ps, eps
& dvi files. I tried, but nothing happens. What could be wrong?
I upgraded to TeXShop 1.13 this morning (including the upgrade of
teTeX and ghostscript), and I'm running MacOS 10.1.
Maybe slightly off topic, but this is what prompted my interest in
this ability of TeXShop: how can one send a PS file directly to a PS
printer (i.e. without converting it to pdf: it seems to me that
converting a PS file to pdf and then having the print driver
reconverting it to PS for the printer's benefit is rather stupid)
under MacOSX? (i.e. what the DropPS utility was doing under previous
MacOS systems).
