[OS X TeX] plain text

I'm using TexShop. 
I need to include a few paragraphs of plain text from a configuration file for the application I'm documenting as an example of the format of the config file.
I need a fixed width font and I need tabs and spaces preserved.
Does anybody know if there's a macro to do this ?
