[OS X TeX] setting path tp ~/bin

After some hours of fruitless attempts I found the solution in an old 
mail by Michael Murray. The solution is,

save the line

setenv  PATH  "${PATH}:/Users/yourusername/bin"

in a file .tcshrc in your home directory. Thanks Michael.
