Hi,
BibDesk has now been moved to Sourceforge, and is an open-source
project under the BSD license.
I'd like to invite interested developers to investigate the project and
contribute.
What this means for those who are not interested in helping with code
is that it should become easier to do things like localize BibDesk into
languages other than English, and possibly help with documentation.
If you do not wish to participate, but are a BibDesk user, these
changes still may affect you - first, there are two new mailing lists
hosted at sourceforge:
http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/bibdesk-users (For user
discussion)
http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/bibdesk-announce (Only
for announcements of new versions)
Also, the BibDesk project page at sourceforge allows posting feature
requests and bug reports into a database that supports organized
tracking and notification - any user could post a bug report and check
back later to see comments and progress.
The main bibdesk info page is still at
http://www.cs.ucsd.edu/~mmccrack/bibdesk.html
The Sourceforge project page is at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/bibdesk/
There is a development mailing list at
http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/bibdesk-develop.
Thanks,
-Michael McCracken
