[OS X TeX] eps images in pdflatex

I tried both to run it in the Terminal:
pdflatex --shell-escape test.tex

and in TeXShop by entering 'pdflatex --shell-escape' in the field
'pdfTeX/Latex program' in Preferences under the tab Engine.

Both ways worked fine.
