Dear Wolf-Christian

I've sweated quite a deal over this issue (I'm currently employed in
the med-world, and apparently a typical M.D. gets dizzy-spells when
confronted with anything other than Word (M.D.'s related to this list
excluded...)). My humble experience is that there are quite a deal of
shortcommings with every method for tex->Word.

The bibliography issue, can in my experience be resolved by running
your input file yourfile.tex in the normal way (latex, bibtex, latex,
latex), and then copy the contents of yourfile.bbl to the end of
yourfile.tex while removing the \bibliographystyle and \bibliography
lines. This should make htlatex process and display your bibliography.

HTH,
Steffen

It is altogether uncertain,
but Heisenberg was probably here
(at least for a short period of time).
