[OS X TeX] Using fonts from Word in LaTeX

The thing is, not unsurprisingly, a font bundled with a word processor 
probably isn't really meant for typesetting.

Take a look at two of the didactic pieces in my portfolio:

``Typeface Terminology''
``One Typeface: Many Fonts''

to see the difference between the Garamond which you have and Adobe 
Garamond which was the first Adobe Original and re-drawn by Robert 
Slimbach and outfitted with amenities appropriate for typesetting.
