Ah, indeed. The old ppower4 used an obsolete version of p^4 (pp4.jar). 
The
current release uses the current version of p^4 (pp4p.jar). To the 
ppower4p
script from older gwTeX releases is replaced by ppower4 (but both use 
the
latest release of the software).
