[OS X TeX] Scaling hyperref URLs

Update. I tried the following:

\makeatletter
\renewcommand{\url at font} {%
    \ttfamily\small\catcode`\<=\active\catcode`\>=\active%
}
\makeatother

But the property font does not seem to be defined like that for \url.

Any hint is appreciated,
