[OS X TeX] TL2005 Snapshot problem

The binary /usr/local/teTeX/bin/powerpc-apple-darwin-current/pdflatex 
complains that it can't find a file "pdftex.map" -- not mentioning the 
file's path! Could be anywhere. Since some time (in years) pdftex.map 
is a symlink to either pdftex_ndl14.map or pdftex_dl14.map in 
/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/fonts/map/pdftex/updmap. If the 
*dl14.map files do not exist, 'sudo updmap' will generate them. Then 
the symlink has to point to one of them.

That's the fall-back routine -- at least this works! And I'm glad that 
I can wait.
