[OS X TeX] .OSX/environment.plist was the culprit - but why?

To be precise. i-Installer keeps the use of environment.plist open just
for those special cases it would make sense (especially for bug hunting).
It does not expect *anything*.

The TeX i-Package only works when the environment.plist settings make
sense for the TeX i-Packages layout.
