Hi

All this talk has provoked some of us to try and fix the situation 
*now*. Unfortunately for my work progress, this includes me :)

What do you think of (the content of)

(The sample document is not yet complete.)

It's slightly out of date because I haven't had time to look at the new 
i-Installer yet. I envisage a page similar to this linked very 
prominently from the MacTeX website in the future.
