Acrobat has a very annoying option, checked by default, of scaling
pages to be printed.

In Acrobat 5 it's available in the printing dialog, selecting "Acrobat"
in one of the scroll-down menus in this dialog. There, an option
"Adjust big pages" is checked by default; there's also another option
"Adjust small pages".

Similarly in Acrobat 6, in the main printing dialog, there is a
"Scaling" scroll-down menu with values "None", "Adjust to paper size"
and "Adjust big pages".

Hope this helps,
