It looks like it, at least for dante.ctan.org:

"The current LM package contains the most recent although still 
pre-release
version (i.e., 0.92, of 14.04.2004) of the Latin Modern family of fonts 
in
the PostScript Type 1 format. The fonts are based on the Computer Modern
fonts in the PostScript Type 1 format, released into public domain by
the American Mathematical Society (copyright (C) 1997 AMS)."

cam.ctan.org has been down for most of the weekend, and it still seems 
to be.
