Indeed. And this is why the preplanned release of information on the 
upcoming release on this list was unlucky. Generally I follow the 
following pattern

	1. Check locally if the basic system work
	2. Announce on my support group list for testing (sometimes skipped)
	3. Announce on ii2-announce at mail.rna.nl and ask for testing, tuning 
hwta cropt sup from the plethora of stuff that the system interacts 
with
	4. Release as stable and announce on Mac OS X TeX
